In Central Florida the pool deck is the busiest part of the yard for most of the year. It has to grip when it is wet, stay comfortable under bare feet in July, stand up to pool chemicals and look good in every photo. A painted or spray-textured concrete deck usually manages one or two of those. A paver deck can manage all of them.

Color matters more than people expect. Light pavers and travertine reflect far more sun than dark ones and stay noticeably cooler to walk on, so we steer you toward finishes that suit bare feet as well as the house. Textured and tumbled surfaces add grip without being rough on skin.

Where the existing concrete deck is sound, it can sometimes be overlaid with thinner pavers instead of being torn out, which saves on demolition and keeps the deck at a sensible height against the pool coping. Where it is cracked, uneven or draining toward the house, we remove it and build a proper base. Once we have seen your deck, we will tell you plainly which route it needs.

We also think about the edges: a clean line at the coping, deck drains kept clear and working, and a tidy transition to the lawn, turf or patio beyond, so the whole space reads as one design.
